Cancellation

  • Lessons MUST be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to qualify for a make-up lesson. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or no calls/no shows will be charged full price for the missed lesson. Students that miss 2 lessons in a row without notice or excuse may lose their weekly spot should the trainer have a waitlist for vacancies. If running late to a lesson please contact us, riders more than 15 minutes late with no notice will be marked absent from the lesson.

  • For students needing to cancel or reschedule their lesson, a make-up lesson will be given to be used within 30 days of the missed lesson. It is the student’s responsibility to contact us to schedule your make-up lesson. Should a student choose to forgo a make-up lesson, no lesson credit will be given for the missed lesson. Should students choose not to attend make-up lesson accommodations offered by stable, no lesson credit will be given for the missed lesson. 

  • Unpaid spots will not be held in the event of a student's absence for any reason.

  • Lessons will be held rain or shine unless canceled by the trainer. If the trainer cancels lessons for any reason, including severe weather, students will be given a make-up lesson to be used within the same parameters outlined above. In the event that classes are canceled, students will be notified via text message.

  • *Please note that in the event the stable is closed for competitions or holidays, make-up lessons will be given for any displaced classes.

Riding Attire

Students agree to come dressed to ride in proper riding attire consisting of:

  • Long pants: Jeans, breeches or riding tights. 

  • Riding boots: Boots with a smooth sole and defined heel not more than 1½ inches high. 

  • Appropriate accouterments for the weather/season (gloves, ear warmers, cooling towel, etc.).

  • Riding Helmet: An ASTM approved riding Helmet must be worn at all times while participating in mounted Equine Activities. Students agree to furnish their own ASTM approved riding helmet within their first 4 riding lessons. Stable owned helmets are available for student use for no more than the first 4 lessons. Helmets can be purchased from Tractor Supply, Cavendars, or local feed stores.

Scheduling

The new student registration form is available on our website. Please fill out for us to contact you for an appointment.

Riding Details

  • Parking is located to the left as you pull down the driveway before you reach the house. There is a sign that states: “Parking Up This Way” with an arrow. 

  • Please arrive at your lesson time, sometimes the horse you are using for your lesson may be in use before you arrive. If this is the case, please hang out and wait for the instructor’s further direction.

  • Lessons are one hour in length- this includes grooming, saddling, riding, cooling out, unsaddling and putting your horse back away. Actual riding time will vary from 30-40 mins. For absolute beginners, ride time will be less until you get the hang of grooming and saddling.

Tuition

When you sign up for lessons, you are agreeing to monthly tuition which is due at the 1st of each month.

Monthly Tuition:

  •  If your ride day has 4 days that month

    •  $175 for non private

    •  $250 for private

  •  If your ride day has 5 days in the month

    • $215 for non private

    • $310 for private

  • Late fee will be applied after payment has not been received by the 5th of each month.

  • Invoices will be sent out at the 1st of each month. Please provide a current email and phone number on the student registration form.

  • If a rider starts in the middle of a month

    • $45 will be due each week until the start of the next month

Waiver

All riders must sign a riding waiver upon arrival for new clients.
